i fucking cannot stand people who don't pull their own weight when working as a group. it's one of the reasons i can't stand working with people, i don't trust anyone to work as hard as me.
case in point: i'm supposed to be putting on a wrestling show June 7th. by this point in time, we have no promoters' license, no venue, nothing. the promoter we're working with hasn't done anything, all th while telling us not to worry, he'll take care of everything. PLUS, all the bands he's lined up COMPLETELY SUCK ASS. gah.
So, my solution is this: we're getting our own promoters' license. I'm going to talk to the Bottom Line about having the show there. It'll be an evening thing, all ages, and we'll have only 3 bands, not 5. It's a smaller space, so we'll have at most 400 people there to watch us. But i know we can pack that place. It'll be outside still, but working out where to put a ring in that space might be kind of difficult. We're gonna have to go look at the place before we put everything down. And i don't know of Y101 will be able to promote for us or not. If not, we don't need them. WE can draw that much of a crowd. And with bands of my choosing, we'll be turning people away. I talked this over with all the boys tonight, and we're all for it. Tomorrow i call and let him know how things are gonna be. Cause i'm all for being a big shot pro wrestler and all.....but right now, it's become too much of a lumbering beast. And until there's legit money on the line, i'm not gonna sell out.
