Yeah, baby I'm a geek! Today purchased a the "Legion of SuperHeroes Archive # 12". I used to get the comic when I was a wee lad in the 70's and there is a high nostalgia fix to be had.
I watched a special on the History Channel on Cambodia and Pol Pot - it's no wonder that Jello Biafra was fixated on him lyrically in the early eighties. What a fucker!! For those of you unfamiliar with Pol Pot, hee killed 20% of his own population just out of paranoia. He killed people for reasons such as they wore glasses or had college educations. Again, what a fucker!!
Then I also found out that the Husband of a friend (who is aobut to have her second child) has been diagnosed with cancer and is going thru kemo. He's apparently got one of the rougher forms of it and having a tough time - hopes are high, but this kind of cancer is apparently often fatal!!
To think I was stressed out because I had to do some overtime this week to catch up on my job. Really puts things in perspective! My life is peaches and cream compared to these folks. Makes me appreciate little things like being able to take a nap, comic books, and being able to enjoy a bottle of pepsi.

There is ALWAYS someone who has it worse. Sad but true. Btw, my fiancee is total nerd. Comic books and RPG's and he's 33. lol It's so adorable!
