Ladies and gents, I do believe this will be my last entry here as a single man. Wedding rehearsal is tomorrow, some festivites for Friday, and then Saturday is the big day. WHEW! Getting married. Stressful!! 150 of my closest time traveling friends and family will be there. It's a non-religious ceremony, patterned on our own design. We have written our own vows, too. After spending my 20's in dating hell, I'm discovering what I predicted as a young boy, that my 30's would be one of the finest decades of my life.
I've written a song which will be performed at the wedding, and below is the sequence of events! I will stop by here on Sunday or Monday to say farewell to my SG member friends before I travel to Maui on my Honeymoon!! Wish me luck! I'm scared, but very very happy!
THE WEDDING
Prelude - Three Compositions by The Flat Astronauts
Processional - Gymnopedie No. 3 by Erik Satie,
as played by Steve Freedman and Dave Freedman
Welcome - Dr. Barry Goldstein
Mystery Song - written, played, and sung by Jeff DeSmedt especially for this occasion
Variations on the Word Love by Margaret Atwood,
chosen by Mr Cobalt and read by Bill Cole
Candle Lighting
Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda,
chosen by the Bride and read by Bill Hamilton
Exchange of Vows
Sunflowers by MR COBALT and the Tombstone Teeth, as played and sung by Jeff DeSmedt
Announcement of the Marriage
Recessional - Exit Earth by The Flat Astronauts
