Phillip is a shy college student whos afraid of girls. Mentally, he concocts a non-existent young woman named Jessica, a perfect, beautiful girl whos crazy about him.
Phillip buys into his own fantasy to the extent that he begins to believe shes real, bragging to his college buddies about her. One night, he tells his pals that hes meeting her at the bridge by the river. Curious, they show up, only to find Phillip alone but in the river below them, they see the corpse of a beautiful young blonde floating in the water and she perfectly matches Phillips description of Jessica!
Although the authorities are unable to identify the young womans body, Phillip is put on trial and judged guilty of murder. Confused, Phillip is sentenced to death! But as hes led to the electric chair, he once again sees the ghostly form of Jessica, smiling, beckoning, inviting him to take a seat in the death-chair!
And as Phillip is prepared for electrocution, he murmurs, over and over, Jessicawait for meIm comingJessica
