Wonder Girl intercedes, using her glowing, golden magic lasso to yank the giant cephalopod from its would-be victims, but the monstrous invertebrate fights back, dragging rope-tangled Wonder Girl under the oceans surface. Not even the razor-like nose-lance of a passing giant swordfish can sever the lasso and free Wonder Girl.

Descending to the oceans floor, the octopus takes refuge in its lair the hold of an ancient sunken battleship. The teenage Amazon uses this opportunity to grab a centuries-old but still armed! catapult on the ships deck and lets fly a huge rock, right into the multi-limbed sea-critters head!
