A distinct odor that holds in time and space.
A revelation neither surprising or sublime.

The main house, the Cedar House, Mom-Moos.
I have a lot of dreams about this place.

Cedar, dust and biscuits. Once, Hascues
aftershave.

Bingo, chips.

Now, odor more
like polyester and lemon cedar.

And the cedar has eyes.
Returning with reoccurring visions.

Outside, the drainage ditch is a bottomless pit,
surrounded by cutlass grass, bug invested, now
redeveloped, sealed by a two ton grating.

On the back of the Old Building,
a hornets nest warns with a buzz. Dancing around
this building,

playing chase games/
waiting for the train to pass over the hill.
Inside playing marbles. All my cousins are
married now with kids. I am much younger than them.

The cucumber patch is over there. Thats new.

I love that.. makes me want to write about my grandparents' old house in New Jersey.

"Cedar, dust and biscuits." You come up some of the greatest stand-alone imagistic lines.

I'll find something of mine to post--thanks for asking, man. I haven't been writing at all lately... been too stressed out. But I think feel the bug sneaking up on me again, finally. smile

greetings to the resident avant garde poet biggrin

hope all is well with you in s.g. land, and the married world. how are school plans proceeding?

sorry i haven't been around...my new excuse is my internet connection. i used to get free service thru school, but, of course, at the end of spring term that went kaput. which means i've had no net access for a month. *sigh*

i have personally paved 2/3 of the road to hell.....

but i haven't forgotten about you; hope to talk to you more soon. smile
