This first album is going to be mostly our arrangements of traditional Irish material plus a few covers. Original material is uncharted territory for this band, but should be along soon.
I hear the snow up there is insane!! We even had some snow here in Houston on Christmas Eve. That was pretty cool.
Things not looking good for the first Orange Summit due to fking snow!! I DETEST SNOW!!
House smells like new furniture.
Cold has taken hold of me and I'm mucho congested. Hanging out with Dog and Bird today. It's BITTER cold outside. I went to check the mail and my fingers started to get numb within about a minute.
Yeah, I remember hating snow and road salt, too. But now I see snow on the mountains behind the downtown skyline. It's there, waiting for me, merely an hour away if I so choose to go fuck with it. Or if I feel more adventurous, I'm half a day's drive from places where I can ski or snowboard - they got 4 feet of the stupid stuff in a 24 hour period a week or so ago. Good for them, I'm going to sleep with the window open again...
Have a good trip to Virginia, and positive vibes for the house of orange event. Woohoo!
Suited up today to go to a Christening for the son of a friend of my wife's. Catholic Church - been a while since I was there. The deacon and Knights of Columbus seemed like retired thugs.
Still putting shelves together. Unpacking and things.
Call Ikea, they'll replace the component without question. As for the wrong colored thing - if it's just the piece they'll do it one piece at a time, otherwise you'll have to lug it in unfortunately. But they'll do you right nonetheless. It's the swedish goodness.
Treat yourself to some of the little Anna's cookies when you go. They're inexpensive little imported treats that make the effort to get there and haul it around worth it.
Good luck with the stomach issues, it's never fun.
My friend J is losing hope of marriage salvage after 17 years. His 10 year old girl is turning Goth. I told him I'd alert him if she starts posting on SG!
He shall play BASS on my next project. I need a nap.
I went to the comic shop a few weeks ago and was surprised to find a new Concrete series starting and a Geoff Darrow book called "Shaolin Cowboy." The Darrow book has a panel that is 10 pages long and I love it to death--you turn the page and it just keeps going--you turn again and it just keeps going . . .
