It's not as hot as it was over the weekend, thank the gods, but it's still nice. I actually got to feel a couple of drops of rain, whilst reading out on a bench, after class this afternoon. T'was rather lovely.

The Camp Wellstone retreat was fangtastic. So glad I went. Uber excited and empowered and feeling all Learn'ed like. Woohoo!

Submitting poems to the campus literature journal...who knows? it may go over well.

i actually read a piece aloud at the Camp, as we had to do a culture share bit. Decided the piece at the last minute so I wasn't super prepared, but whatever. it could have been worse.

My friend Thomasina Rocked out Nikki Giovanni, hardcore!!! I was so proud of her.

Working on the possible formation of a GSA, with a classmate (it's her idea, too! yay initiative!), at a local high school that doesn't already have one. *dances* life's good like that.

Finished with Ch. 8 of ACADEM'S FURY. ahhh!!! i need to be reading more right now, lol.
Meeting up with a friend who's a Jim Butcher nerd, aussi, on the 5th of June--she was my friend from HS's Maid of Honor, last june...said friend is coming into town, and we're going to all hang out. Woot. Super!

The Boy has found some interesting prospects on OKC. *fingers crossed* here's to hoping. There are tons of cute girls out there...we just need to find them.
