Dark Knight and Mamma Mia! both rock tremendously.
I have become a bit better organized, but not by much.
Going to see Culann's Hounds, tonight at the Plough & Stars, in SF.
Should be a great time, barring I don't run into anyone who wants to slap me in
the face.
Did I mention K & I had a great time at the Dunsmuir games? so much fun, she was a 1/2
late getting back to work. Stand Easy were 1) easy on the eyes 2) played great. Life was
good. Got a bit sunburned, because I'm a nitwit, and forgot to put SPF1000 on. Boo. But, shawn
took care of me. Yay boyfriends!
The weather's been fairly nice...work's been crazy and yet, slow...like you'd expect for the middle of summer.
Writing again---Demeter and Xavior are preying on my mind--I just need to figure out what to do with them.
Starting Book 5 of The Dresden Files...and loving it, More and More.
Tho, I have to say, there were some serious amazing points to #4.
Did I mention HellBoy II was just awesome, aussi?? I had a great time with that movie---Del Toro is just a flat out genius,
Dare I Hope that Ron Perlman will be Frankenstein's Monster??? *fingers crossed*
I've been having trouble sleeping, but I am hoping that is almost thru...maybe it's the weather, maybe it is work. Who knows?
the little kitty guy turned out to be allergic to the food shawn got him--was sick all over the place.
not fun.
but we took care of that, and now he's much better--has a new collar and name tag, too. He doesn't like it, but he really doesn't have much of a choice.
shawn's parents' house is almost finished with the remodel---the upstairs bathroom that shawn and I use is about to go under the hammer, too. argh. I hope that it is finished quickly. *sighs* i'm tired of being up to my ass in boxes...rarrr! beggars can't be choosers, I suppose, but really? I have had enough this year.
grant and amy are at San Diego con...which means shawn and i had to be around to watch the dog.
oh well. so much for getting out and being crazy. *shrugs* it can't be helped. it is only fair, since
G & A watched whiney while I was gone.
However.
A cat being home alone is far less problematic than a 2 yr. old boxer with potty training issues. *sighs*
~~~
Planning on going to the Ventura Highland games in October; as well, Henry Rollins has a couple spoken word dates that same weekend, in SoCal. Hmmm, me thinks we will definitely be hitting his show up. It's the Countdown to the End tour, I believe. Sweet.
alas, my droogs, that is all for now...cheers!
