i have almost made it thru the weekend.
i am going into work a half hr. early, because, apparently, there were banners that Only I can put up *wtf?* and i'm not schedualed to open...i'm schedualed to close.
this way most of the banners will be up or at least ready by the time the doors open. *sighs*
mmm, coffee.
the roommie paid me 40 clams yesterday. just in the nick of time for my broke ass, wooT!
other roommie wants to go dancing tomorrow at Death Guild. we are for sure going to The Box the following monday, since i'll be on vacation, and won't need to worry about trivial things like sleep.
the dishes appear to be cleaned faster, now that our dishwasher isn't working. how wonderful is that??
I just finished "Gothic", "severance", and "the wind that shakes the barley"....apparently i really wanted to freak myself out by watching those films within a day of each other.
did a lot of screaming at the teevee during "the wind...."
Cillian Murphy makes me much happy.
Black n Tans do not.
watched the blurb on Ken Loach in the SPFeatures. Fun Guy. Peter Mullan and Robert Carlyle approve, so i will be definitely checking out some of his other works.
we did not go with our friends to see "30 days of night"...have to wait til this coming friday or saturday. which is also my sister's birthday.
my brother burned his hand while cooking; has a quarter+ blister on the flesh between his thumb and index finger.
he called me yesterday, basically to gab about it...i'm like GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
i feel bad; i kind of yelled at him. but whatever...if he's not going to take care of himself...wtf?
work, needless to say, is a drag, but we are making it work.
i was on 5 part coverage, in a four section store, whilst folks were on lunch last night.
my Petite dept. was the only one that got vacuumed.
I did 7 of our 8 registers.
oodalallee.
this tshirt bogo1/2 is going to confuse the hell out of people, to be sure. blech.
last night was fun despite the insanity. the newbs are shaping up pretty well. woot.
didn't bother moving two of them around...especially with people taking lunches. kind of silly to do that.
mary will be happy. petites made its week. woot!!!
we are a people of petites in this area.
i have a hard time to not sell petites. i think i tell at least 10 people to go into the petites section, or show someone a petite item to go with the rest of their misses stuff, every day.
it's just the nature of the beast.
if things were cut a little more true to size....we may not have this problem.
i love my customers...but i may have to move on...to a different company.
there's a store that's about to open that i'm going to check out. they look a wee bit smaller, so that might be a better fit for me.
plus, i can come back and talk smack to my cowrks @talbot's.
off to get ready. cheers!
