reading the halloween costume article...
i have to say, as sick as Anna Rexia is...it's a great costume.
not as sick as others i've seen.
i know someone that wanted to dress as a plane for halloween, 2001.
and run into people all night.
i know someone who was Roy, including the stuffed tiger, attached to the collar of his tux...soaked in blood.

it's halloween. it's meant to be twisted.
it's how we keep the demons at bay, honor the dead, and remind ourselves that THIS is not eternal.
noone wants to dress as clocks and owls like the Dutch, anymore.
Dia Los Muertos is much more interesting and fun.
i really desire sugar skulls. i need to find a wee mom and pop mexican bakery, and see if i can get some.
i'd dress as my mom...but really, i do that every day, anyway.
considering how many of her suits i have. lol.
~~~the roommate and i are supposed to be Johnny Cash and June Carter for hallows, this year. dunno what we are going to do, but that's the theme. lol.
the boyfriend may be Jesus, again...which mean i may need to double up on my costuming duties, and be Mary Magdelene, aussi.

i was going to be in L.A. for hallow's...but i don't think i'm going to be staying down there that long. Shawn has school, and i will be paying rent at that point, so it will be very tight, money-wise.
technically, it already is.

~~~technically, i am off today...but it's been the week from hell. which means i have to leave in a few minutes to boot scoot to work, to help finish up some visual stuff, which isn't a big deal...i'd rather do it this way. i still have tomorrow off, also!! woot!
i have no dinero, bleeding like a stuck pig, my friend's ex hubbie was ACQUITTED (a hung jury, apparently), my boss was pissy cuz some things didn't get done at work (which was completely out of my hands, due to people not showing up for work!), and shawn's still sick.
boo.
the few good things that have happened, i've definitely savored.
today is going to be my day for watching movies, calling friends, and sitting on my ass.
well, and putting laundry away.
did i mention our dishwasher isn't working and the apt. maintenance folks STILL haven't fixed my shower nob...yeah, we're using a wrench to turn it on. FUN!
cheers, my roommate's alarm just went off..."IT'S A SMALL WORLD" is now playing...seriously...i am freaked out by this.

Twisted Halloween costumes are awesome. People who get pissy over them are rather stupid, but hey that tends to be a lot of the world for just about any reason, so what can you do but laugh?
Enjoy your days off. You sound like I used to be before I got fired. I was always up there making sure shit got done even on days off. I forget are you on salary?
