i just back from Redding.
what was I doing in Redding, you may ask...
i was my best friend's moral support at the hearing for her ex's domestic violence/child endangerment charges...where she and her 10 yr. old son had to testify.
and it was very hard to not follow him into the bathroom, whilst they all took a break and beat the sweet baby jeebus out his smug/self righteous ass.
rarrr.
rarrrrrr part two.
the guy is such a pompous ass. it makes me so mad that we used to think he was such a great guy.
~~~
we think things went Very Well...so he could in all likelihood see 7 yrs. in jail thrown his way.
i would do happy dance.
~~~
the trip was nice, at least. i adore michele's son, christopher, and we got to stay at a nice lil' motel...hung out in redding, saw some old cowkrs' of hers. good times.
beautiful up there, to be sure. this is only the second time that i've been there...and really, i'd move there. i was that impressed.
i never thought that before, about that area...i was totally snobbish about it, and unfair in my opinion.
i think i really would like living there alot...especially knowing how easy it would be to be in a HOUSE and not an apt.
michele and i talked about buying homes and such...getting married, blahblahblah. girl stuff...the kinds of things that make a three hr. drive seem like nothing.
i mentioned to her the property my parents' looked into getting a while back. it's probably sold now, but it was sweet.
t'was in southern oregon, and it was two houses on like 5-8 acres, with a creek. woot!!! would have been way rad.
probably a little small for her, considering she has two kids and so does her man, my friend, shawn w.
*shrugs*
would be interesting to say the least. i loved the little restaurant she used to work at; the lumberjack, i guess, is what it's called. what a cute little place!!! OMG!!! what great food!
it was nice to see snow off in the distance. it's been gray for a couple days down here in SJ...and it's been quite stormy up that way, as well.
*sighs* well, off to eat and watch Jim Rose!

eyerush:
I've eaten in that restaurant. Redding and I have a love hate relationship. I go up there a lot for work. The coffee shop/cigar store on the street by all of the hotels always has some hotties working in it.

I'm glad things went well at the trial...people like him are the one thing that make me think twice about going into social work...because basically I wouldn't be able to beat the shit out of them. At least I can help their victims and send them to get assraped.
