~was really unwell by the end of the week. just sleeping enough i think...almost caught the bug that the bf has, methinks. still a wee bit congested, but i'm not sick to my stomach, anymore. YAY!
went to Rocky, thinking that i'd have to bumble thru, and maybe puke backstage. lol. thankfully, grant had another casting save, and so i got to sit it out. t'was a great performance, too. i was really glad i stayed, instead of sleeping up in the room.
shawn spent most of friday, running around the Con, and picking people up at the airport.
we were going to go back on saturday (shawn only, maybe) but ended up staying in. shawn needs to see a Doctor, methinks. lots of chest gunk. he slept most of the day, whereas i just napped abit, watched a lot of teevee, and fought to have an appetite to eat.
the roommie bought some groceries, to make up for me buying alcohol for us the night before. we have Vermouth finally!!! woot. It's Martini Time!
the roommie had him some, whilst watching "Die Mommy Die". ye gods that movie is hilarious. & well acted.
today, we may make it back to the Con. i need to see the costume exhibit, and run around a bit...the artist from "30 Days of Night" was there, one of the days,...don't remember which. *shrugs*
we did catch the tail end of the movie festival on friday night. 'Bit Parts" was amusing...ahhh, nothing like low budget horror flicks. it didn't have a happy ending, either! yay! that rocks.
ooh, and there was a corseter that loaned some pieces for the Rocky show...going to have to check out their booths.
I dreamt about buying comics...lol. yes i am that kind of a nerd.
i do wish i had gone to Ben Lommand, but it was better to stay in and rest. just to be on the safe side. i hope kristine had a good time. she's not gotten back to me yet. there was a mascerade last night at Con, i'd thought she'd want to go...dunno if she made it or not.
Body Worlds is dntn...maybe i can convince the boy to check that out today, also.
need to watch the latest episode of Doctor Who...woohoo! i iz excited.
we bought a pirate costume for ze kitties. ahh, the fun we had taking pictures. they should be up soon.
the dude's new name is senior hombre de pantalones...i am so butchering that...but it's actually a name he seems to respond to.
now to get the bumblebee for the fat meats, candy corn for the whiney, and maybe quickly put together the Nightcrawler getup that i wanted to use for the Dude, when shawn and i were going to be Mystique and Sabertooth.
Shawn's gram's b-day dinner is tonight at the Los Gatos brewing company! woohoO! should be a blast.
let's see...we bought Shipyard Pumpkinhead ale...woohoo! and of course, we drank it in Shipyard pint glasses. i gotta kick out of see that the local Bevmo locks up the fakey Absinth i bought from them 2 yrs ago...and has doubled the price. wow. that's hilarious.
good thing i bought two bottles when i did, i guess.
still not quite sure if we'll make it to Monterey to see John Waters' speak at the Golden State Theater. my friend paul really really wants to go, for his birthday. *sighs* money doesn't grow on trees, however.
