So apparently it is Both Hot Topics, closest to me, that have gone completely insane with whom they have hired. Oakridge had this guy, early 40's, blue m&m tatt on the inside of his forearm, Diamond Dave Hair (right now, that is, that oh so fabu comeover)...if that guy wasn't flying on speed, i am an intergalactic princess.
he could tell i was trying to not kill him; "you're about done with me, aren't you?"
Ya think? you won't shut up, you are using slang left and right...and people that try to get me to smile, for no reason, don't usually end up on my Friends' List. Plus, you are almost old enough to be my dad, and you're working at HT...do you know how creepy that is?
i was wearing my "Drink like a pirate" shirt, which i know...causes trouble...
"So, do you drink like a pirate?"
"yes, yes i do..."
"Do you drink the blood of a parrot?"

"well, i've drank blood, but not of a parrot, so i guess i am not That Piratey..."
which got wide eyes, and a little laugh at the Piratey part...
dear god, i hope he was upper management, and not just the new Store mgr. blech.
they need mgrs@both locations...and i can see why.
I made a point to say that it was an Interesting direction they were going,...with employee-customer relations. that kind of threw him...
"oh, have you been treated badly at the other store?"
"No, no. i just mean, your customer service level has gone WAY UP. I'm rarely in your other store long enough to even Notice your employees, trust me."
and i have a feeling i won't be going back, to either. *shudders*
it's one thing to be wacky...it's one thing to be uber nice. but this kind of behavior borders on harassment.
having seen it at both locations, my guess is this is the New Way for HT.
especially since their latest remodel is going to make the store look like a PacSun or an Anchor Blue.

the bf was making a phone call...too bad, cuz we could have both laid the guy out flat.
i didn't want to be mean, but i was pretty shocked at how the guy was acting. at least at VF, the guy got the hint to calm down and shut the fuck up, while ringing me up.
it's HT...we don't want you to talk to us, unless we choose to talk to you. trust me. parents don't like it either.
at least i got a really cute dress for really cheap, and came out fairly unscathed.
bought "the fallen hero: death of captain america" yesterday. OMBG!!! totally awesome.
saw the poster for "30 days of Night" the film, the other day, too. woot!! can't wait for that. apparently, one of the bargain books i picked up at LEGENDS, was one of the original creators of "30..." side projects. it's cute. Called "The Lonely Tombstone". awwhh.
Brook loves the pirate flag. it will be going into her car, somehow. woot!
after shopping, we went to the Brit, had dinner with Jeff, and came home...practically passed out, upon laying down, too. we were pooped.
mehh, i should get something to eat, and more coffee.
