the meeting was wunderbar. my boss bought me coffee. woot!
k and i were not as hungover as we could have been, thank the maker.
saturday was just a really really great time.
my slight paranoia was unfounded, which i know i felt deep down...but i have this absolute Fear of being That Girl...
the girl that leads someone on, accidently...
looks like a "slut"
unappropiate behavior for someone who's decidedly Not Single, in the respect of seeking a Male's attention...
blahblah.
i'm just a Huge Tomboy...i get along better with guys.
i'm the girl you meet at a bar, who helps you hit on chicks. who talks about beers with you.
who trys to hook you up with her friend.
Who is nice and friendly. possibly even playful and flirtatious...but knows the where that line is, so that you don't Get pulled so far in, that you think you are IN like Sin.
i don't go out and get Numbers/emails, whatever.
i'm not that girl.
the only person that ever truly Picked me up, at a bar, is my bf, and essentially, i can't see it counting since it was a karyaoke nite at a lesbian bar, and our friends were covertly setting us up on a blind date. lol.
have i tried to pick people up?
oh god yes...and failed miserably.
i don't think of myself as attractive, in the normal sense, so i don't notice the difference sometimes, between harmless playful flirting, and sexxy-sexxy Let's Get It On, kind...
lol.
which is why the slight drama that happened was hysterical. uhm, yeah, hi...dude that was trying to be all "get my boy's back"...did you miss that your bud was massaging my girl's shoulders, and all that?
we, on the other hand, never touched, except for maybe when we were navigating to and from the bathroom. love it.
note to people whom i meet in the real world: just because i'm looking you directly in the eye when i speak to you, or when you are talking to me, doesn't mean i am ON YOUR JOCK!!!
just means that i want you to know i take you seriously...i am listening, you are INTERESTING.
trust me, when i want someone, i let them know.
it will be more obvious than a Vague smile and a little girly laugh.
You Will Feel It.
so anyway, all in all, it was a GREAT weekend. went to the bbq, the boyfriend showed up in the end to meet and greet and discreetly carry me off. there was a slight bone of contention, me thinks...perhaps the boy who made me freak out was secretly talking about himself (and he has a gf) and that was why he was pouty.
hah.
boys.
i could see some slight disappointment in one new friend, but alas, that is life.
now to continue to throw K at her friend, to see what happens. muwahahaha!
we had thresher shark, and it was good. we had wine (Ravenswood!!!!) and watched a bit of "spirited away". yay!!! meeting people that know "NausicaA" is rare, so i was excited.
campbell games this weekend. can't wait!
cheers!

You are my favorite type of girl to be friends with. The beer drinking, "Hey check out the rack on that one" type. I seriously think all girls (hetero or not) have a lot better taste in other women.
Hope you have another good weekend next week too.
i think eye contact is very important, and i understand what you say about it, and it does show interest and a caring about what one is hearing. often misinterpreted as you said.
