so going to the meeting was incredibly easy.
ignore directions from the internet...they are inherently wrong...
i was told i'd need to get onto a bus...riiiight.
i looked around, asked a lady at the stop about the bus i was told to take, and then saw the End of the street that the store was on, asking...hey, we're in the dntn shops, aren't we??
she was puzzled, and went yeah, you're like a block away...
i laughed, and walked across the street, and up the couple of blocks i needed to get to my meeting.
screw you internet maps!
511.com, you are usually pretty reliable.
granted, i always take any kind of directions with a grain of salt...but wow, this was really bad. this thing had me taking a bus, for a 15 min. ride, just to get to the top of the street that was right in front of me.
and apparently, this street is a wee side street...it's only 4 blocks long.
they made it look like it was 2 miles away from the station...
my dm was all....yeah, it's really really easy to get here...so if you ever want to come up and help out, you totally can.
woohoo! i may just do that.
it was a long day, but fun. the store's really cute, and has an emmense back area and office space. wow. they literally could divy it up, and make the back half of the building another store, and just the front could be ours.
totally nuts.
cute little downtown, too. there's a peets and a starbucks...the peets is attached to a bakery, molly's, i was told.
t'was a chilly day...thank god we were inside.
by the time i got back from burlingame, into mtn view, i was numb.
shawn and i went to Tied House for dinner...mmm raspberry wheat!!!
then proceeded to chris and noe's to see ze baby, who's now 5mths, and hang out. i fell asleep while watching "Mirrormask" and was roused with just enough energy to get us out the door.
they loaned us "arthur and the invisibles"...was hoping to watch it this morning, but no time...the boy is still asleep and i have to be at work at 1pm...still haven't been home to see if the kitties are ok, and whether or not those wiley roommates of mine have done anything around the apt.
anyhoo...off i go. cheers!

i will attest to the fact that yahoo maps suck big time. they take me on a route 6 blocks long just to get to the corner intersection...i think they are produced by the oil companies.
