so let's see...it's weds.
monday was a long, long day. short staffed, and we still did 21k.
woohoo!
three people called in, i slipped and fell, only had one of our friendly neighborhood Shoplifters (to our knowledge) come in, thank the gods...
and we still managed to stop them from getting anything, plus we had a 1k sale, and opened up a charge acct.
booyah!
and we left on time.
hah!
all in all, a hectic but not too bad day.
i am sore still, and have a 3-4 in long bruise on my right hip from my fall. it's red and purple. SEXXXY!
my pride is truly was injured, tho. it's so embarrassing when stuff like that happens. it's not like i was on a ladder...I was just walking to fast, slipped and tripped...and caught air, somehow, and slammed on the ground.
bizarre.
i got a good laugh, at least.
thankfully, no more headache, woohoo!
the bf has his astronomy test today. woohoo!
mailing some bills today. paying more on friday...like my SG acct one. woohoo!
watched "The Pianist" last night. i heart Adrian Brody. newly found roommate, aka roommie #1's boyfriend, is a little sheepish, apparently, about films with so much violence...
...
even tho he watches Anime.
ok.
i told him not to watch "Hotel Rwanda" then....or the news....
i think i may be calling him Bubble Boy from now on.
last night was the Mug Club event at RB...boo on not being able to go. the tapping is thursday. *sighs* i really hope we can go to that...$1 beers!!!! AHHHHH!
Laguinitas "Brown Shugga' " ale is pretty tasty. had that on my birthday.
about almost half way thru with my de Sade biography>>"At Home with the Marquis de Sade, a life"...
quite entertaining, the author has interesting asides, and does not seem to be biased in any particular direction. she seems lightly amused by de Sade's antics, at times mildly shocked, but is very French in her "How Like Life...*draws on a cigarette*" reflections on the man's interactions with his famille.
i'm greatly amused by the excerpts of letters from Comte de Sade, Donatien's father...who was arrested for soliciting and pretty much ruined the family's reputation while Donatien was still a child, throwing tantrums and being coddled by his adoring aunts and uncles. his old age seems to have mellowed him Too Too much, considering his disdain for his son's actions. ahh well. maybe he was jealous because he couldn't get it up any more? lol.
the book makes me LONG to go to europe....RIGHT NOW. lol.
i need a pair of dogs, too...one to be called Donatien, and the other, Vlad. that would be nice.
ugh.
i have to get ready for work, soon. boo.
cheers!

de Sade was quite the character, i do not know what else to say except that i am fascinated by him.
You really seem to care about your job and the business it does. Have they thought about you for management, or would you do it? Or are you...?
Hope you get to make it out tonight!
