I'm so tired of seeing ads for Viagra and its clones, and spam emails with testimonials from young men. I know the drug has helped many older men, but now the message is that any man should take it to have stronger, longer-lasting erections, and many young men are taking it.
I believe it's men's responsibility to tell their female sex partners and any other women who will listen that they are beautiful as they are and don't have to alter their bodies unless they want to, that men will take equal responsibility for birth control and that the women don't have to bear the burden of that, and that their pleasure is paramount.
But I also believe women should start making it clear to me that men's penises, of whatever length and whatever endurance, are fine as they are. Sure, bigger can be better and longer-lasting certainly is, but you don't want to take drugs to make erections last longer when there is other non-drug training you can do to accomplish that.
The whole performance thing in sex is becoming another way to make sex into a commercial enterprise rather than an act of love, daring, lust, joy, play, fun, or whatever the consenting parties want it to be (pain, power, mutual provocation, whatever).
Fuck these manufactured and unrealistic expectations of both sexes.
