Basketball capital of America...is.... no not Duke, North Carolina, Indiana, or UCLA...any of those traditional powers, but it is rather the small state often forgotten about as the third state in the "tri state" area.... Connecticut.
Both Mens & Womens teams won National Championships this week. This is for TJ, CHris, Rui, Zues, and Theo...hell anyone else at the lunch table who watched this program, not team, but rather a few years of progression, become a power. The elite 8 loss to stamford in OT.... the ghey sceduling of UNC playing the sweet sixteen in Greensboro.... this is for Ray, Doron, Tate George, Scott Burrell, Kevin Ollie, Kevin Freeman.... all the guys who laid the foundation for this to be the best basketball program in college.
The women... well its their 3rd straight title, soshhhh dont tell anyone, but no one can rival them. They have beaten Tennessee 6 straight games, Thank You Diana Taurasi.... you have been an unending winner.
