I may not be an actor or director (just a marketing guy who wants to get into the industry's business side), but I totally agree. Lemmon has done some great stuff - watch one of his movies, and you feel for the character. You identify with him, whether he's the straight man or not.
On my side of the fence, I wish there were more opportunities for marketing as an art, rather than simple machinery. I see so many well made films that never get seen because someone used a cookie-cutter approach to promoting it, and because of that failure something special wasn't able to connect with the right audience. Once in a while I see that work, and it gives me hope. Now all I need is to find that door cracked open just wide enough for me to slip my foot in LOL

Why is the entertainment industry suffering so badly? Isn't it during times like these that people most appreciate leaving behind real life and going to the movies/see a concert/buy some art? Maybe your industry just sort of hit a glass ceiling, and a little revamping is required to keep on going... It's happening everywhere, the excesses of the last twenty years have made us gen x'ers a big pile of shit to sift through. :barf:
