I got put in a strange situation tonight. As many of you know, I've been looking for work for quite some time. Lately, I've been working the Matt Groening angle through one of his close friends. So, tonight, I was shopping at Amoeba records, digging through the experimental section, when I realize I'm standing right next to Matt.
Now, do you start rapping to him while he's trying to shop, or do you let it go and mention it later? I let it go, thinking he's in his own space and I don't want to crash his thing. My friend berated me, though, and said I should have started rapping to him.
Hmmm...I'm not sure. We do both collect music that alienates us from normal people, so maybe we would have bonded. But, I stand by my decision to let him have his space. I don't know...
I did buy a Haters box set I've been looking for for ten years!!!!!
