Ahhh another day of looking for employment. I don't really have anything to talk about except my job search, so... As some of you know Vanilla Sky ended an 8 year run for me with Cameron. We are still buds, but he dissolved his company and wants to just do one project at a time without having a full time producer/development person. Mainly because cats like me are expensive to keep around.
Anyhow, he's making a call to Kate Hudson today, whose family has a production company and knows me. Maybe something will come of that. Jason Lee is calling Spike Jonze for me too, so you never know. Spike is my favorite filmmaker right now. When I read the script for Adaptation a few years ago, it blew my mind. And the trailer to the film looks even better.
Until then, I take meetings with production companies and studios and just work it. I hate not working. I was used to an average 60 hour work week, so time off is really weird to me. But, what are you gonna do....
