Believe me, I tried to stay out of this. I wanted to just let it all pass, as I normally do with such drama here in Suicidegirls. My opinion may be an unpopular one, but here goes.....
First of all, the one thing that has pissed me off more than anything...more than the set itself even, is the threats and comments being made to Nana that you "hope she or her daughter gets raped." What despicable people you are to say something like that. Everyone is speaking out about sisterhood, fight for women's right, and call themselves a feminist, but then you go and say something as horrible as that. Nana may be wrong for what she did, but wishing something like that on a person makes you no better than she is.
I am concerned with the censorship part. Once you have taken down one set, where does it end? I have been offended by a few sets here on SG, maybe I'll go stir up some shit to have them taken down too....
Rape and racism are disgusting, and in a perfect world this set would not have gone up, but I would be lying if I said I'm not having mixed feelings about it being taken down. I hate that it so many of men and women of this community were hurt, and tramautized by this. As a victim of sexual assault myself, believe me I've dealt with my share of uncomfortable moments, even here on SG. However, my firm beliefs in free speech have me asking...."Either everything is acceptable, or none of it is right?"
This just sucks anyway you try to slice it.

I am one of the people who was happy that it went up, not because it "encouraged rape" or the nazis for that matter, but because it did push boundries
and im all for that
and its good that peoiple get offended, not becasue its good for that alone, but because everyone is so afraid of offending "someone" that EVERYTHING gets censored for some reason, and that SUX.
and anyone who wished anything like that upon her for any reason is a total fucking hypocrite.
