Iying awake late at night in my bed, once again trying to figure out my political beliefs, and I came up with this situation:

Lets say there is oil in alsaka for arguements sake, In fact it can be anywhere that is still wilderness, doesnt matter. To continue, There are enough reserves there to make buying from Saudi Arabia and other countires a moot point. Now, couple this along with further fuel efficiency tech, and we have solved a looming energy crisis. Now, such a thing would also have another result, the winning of the war on terror. Without major money comeing into there coffers, the middle eastern states would soon be unable to fund terrorists groups. No money for weapons, no terrorists.
Would drilling alaskan tundra be worth that?

Some people fololw the environments like it is a religon. They would rather a forest and animals live then humans built a house. and they will use violence to support there means. They are going way beyond common sense to take lives in order to protect a fucking forest. They woukld rather people starve then make farmland to feed there family.
