Just learned a guy I knew from high school has died. It was pancreatitis from my understanding.
I hadn't seen him for close to a decade. The last time I was around him he was drinking well before noon. I'm sure that was a contributing factor in his death. He certainly loved his alcohol.
It's weird. I don't really feel a sense of loss. Like most people from school I eventually lost contact with him. It's just a strange feeling knowing he's gone. I've seen alot of older relatives buried since I graduated from high school. But he's the first classmate to have died.
I don't know, it just feels strange. RIP Matt.
Update 9/17/05 12:30am: Went to the visitation for Matt tonight. I saw alot of people that I haven't seen in years. Everybody misses him but we were all still in good spirits. After the visitation a group of us went out for pizza, got caught up and talked old times. Unfortunately I can't go to the funeral tomorrow because of work.
