so... my computer decided to kill its c: drive last night. Fortunately, I have 2 hard drives and quite frankly, after about 4 years of near- constant use, it was probably time for the old one to go. I had backed up most of my junk on to the new HD anyway. The time thing really stinks though, took me a couple hours to get this stupid machine set up right.
I haven't been working nearly enough, I don't know what to do with myself. I almost enjoy, and am used to, 50+ hour weeks at work and my boss is being an ass and giving me just barely 40 hour weeks with like one double shift. I would work doubles every day if I could, the other day I worked from 7am to 11.15 pm and would gladly do it again. Just have to steal some hours, I guess.
I still don't have another car, my van is still busted and I ain't gonna fix it, I don't have anywhere to live after August 31 and I apparently have nobody to move in with wherever I move to.
Unless I move in with complete strangers...
I am currently reading The Sheep Look Up by John Brunner, for the umpteenth time. It's a good book. It's about how our world is dying. Maybe you should read it.
I have been thinking about tattoos I might want to get. There aren't many things that I think I would want, but I don't know. I live above a tattoo shop which provides me with some incentive, but I have heard some not so great things about the lady and her work. I have seen some of her work and most of it looks pretty good, though. Admittedly, I haven't seen lots of her work, just a bit here and there.
I have been really bored lately. I have the next two days off, but I can't really go anywhere. I have to go to my parents' house tomorrow, but my stepdad is coming to pick me up. They are making me throw some of my stuff away that is in my old room. It will be hard. Maybe I can bring my old stereo in to get fixed tomorrow? I hope so. I miss it.
I also burned my foot with hot oil and found that I have a sore on my tongue today. I also can't get enough of that great 'This Land' animation on www.jibjab.com. It continues to be funny.
I should go. Have to be up in three hours so I can get a couple of extra hours in at work before I get picked up.

umm the x800 xt actually isn't out yet. i have one on preorder, and the one i'm getting is AGP 8x. from the benchmarks i've seen the AGP 8x and PCI express are almost the same (PCI express is a litltle better). but i hav't really done a lot of research on PCI Express because my motherboard doesn't support it. at least i dont think it does...
