Flew back into NY last night. Landed in falling snow. It was dumping snow out near the airport and looked like it had snowed much earlier in the city. Sometimes there is nothing worse than snow in the city. It is gorgeous and fun while it is snowing but man it sucks when it warms up a little. Nobody is good about clearing the snow...

Watched "Who Killed the Electric Car" today. Wow, it makes you hate big oil and our current administration even more. And no wonder the American car companies are in such trouble. They are the most short sighted companies in the world.

In San Diego and the surf's coming up. The weather couldn't be better. It has been in the 60's and has even hit the 70's once. The water is cold but it's worth it. A friend were on dawn patrol this morning. Cold air (40's) and windy but the surf was getting bigger so with warm coffee in hand we suited up and went out....

I'm off to San Diego tomorrow. I can't wait. I just checked the surf report and there is a swell coming. The weather is supposed to be in the 60's and sunny. Beats the hell out of 20's and snowy.
I'm off for So Cal to go surfing and do a little work next week. I can't wait to go somewhere warm (assuming it warms up there) and get in the water again. It's been way too long now.

And yes, shots like that are hard to come by in CA, especially if you don't live in SF. The NY skyline is just amazing. Although, my favorite shots are of SoHo when the steets are teeming with people. But I do have some amazing shots somewhere of the snowstorm in January '06 when the city was shut down by 2 feet of snow. So amazing to not have any cars anwywhere in sight.
