oh. jays party at the inferno. chandon and amber and i got super decked out and braved the dancefloor in high heels. it's odd to go out in madison all dressed up, people tend to associate it with pretense. i say it's just because i've got a closet full of dresses that i never wear. red stripe. speaker freaking. fell asleep spooning amber (there you go, seth).
saturday. saturday...what the...
woke up early and realized it was my first weekend at home in over a month. took advantage of the weather and did some yardwork and then frolicked in the backyard. i can't do a handspring anymore. hurt my rear. gathered my records and parasol and headed to party in the park. it's funny to see a "dry" event with a bunch of wisconsinites walking around with gatorade bottles holding what is obviously not gatorade. they should have just had a beer tent. i saw two people get thrown in the lake, that was cool. timeslot pushed back so a few of us escaped to a nearby apartment to kick back some beers. we decided it's odd seeing everyone in the daylight. played a short set and stayed for a bit afterwards, probably was an effort towards talking to this guy i'm interested in one more time before heading home. went home. had kung fu jesse teach me how to punch. pizza. ringu. disco nap. woke up at a bit past midnight to go with chandon to her gig at what turned out to be a house party. she played electro. i made a friend. his name is brian. he liked acid house alot in the early nineties.
sunday i cleaned my porch. met up with ben later and made food and watched a really disturbing movie (the war zone) and that was that...was that.
not as exciting as most, but then again, you've got to pay extra for the real meat.
