weekend. in. review.
*beep*
took off early friday. suitcase, books, record bag. get to chicago and experienced a mild moment of panic when i realized i had forgot mattys phone number at home and he was late. sat for an abnormally long ten minutes at o'hare. he shows up, of course. looks confused. sits down. snuck up on him and those dimples went "whoomp". discussed schematics for new project on an especially sunny el trip. laid around. ate. picked up two bottles of wine. nice bottle of shiraz for awake taste buds, sweet bottle of pinot for when they start to numb. compiled and compared records for future endeavors, drank the shiraz. somehow after "electroboogie encounter" we ended up in a fierce wrestling match. we beat the crap out of each other then had the other bottle.
saturday started with a rowdy trip to a mexican restaraunt for lunch + margaritas. winks and grins and hands in back pockets all the way to the el. cozy ride home. nap more important than radio show. dinner w/friends. stayed to listen to mattys set. downtempo + house + hip hop + dub...mmmm. sangria. mojito. eventually made peace with the odd crowd. liked the bathrooms. this one drunk girl was nice. home. sleep.
sunday was slow. too slow to even discuss. however i did end up being written on, so it's fair to say i'm keeping up the pace.
it's 75 today.
SARS is a horrible name for an epidemic.
i hope i get the khia acapella before next weekend.
i really want to buy a basketball.
