bbb flew in on thursday night and was exhausted so we only made him drink three beers and then wished him good night. matt and i slept on the porch.

friday day was f'in lovely. woke up and made a pot of tea and read and waited for the house to wake up. then while we were all sitting around getting motivated to hit the backyard matty from chicago comes walking up. i felt like i was going to wet my pants. how often is it that two of my three best friends (all long distance now) end up with me at the same time?! incredible. so i've got seth, matty, chandon and the animals and i don't have to be at work til monday. pulled the frosted mugs out of the fridge, filled up the kiddie pool, and had a warm, beer soaked afternoon. franjo the croatian, matt, and marissa all joined as well. waterballoon fights, trampoline, and breakdancing ensued. i sobered up for soundczech and got the club all set up. party was rocking, as always. numbers are hard to come by in madison in the summer, but everything went off really well...darryl played a great jungle/noise/experimental set, bk one played funk hits and hip hop, and low fidelity index played THE most incredible acid PA i've seen in years. might have been my favorite ever.

saturday was intense, as friday night didn't peak until about four in the morning, marked by matty setting darryls shirt on fire. then matt snored all night so i couldn't sleep. saturday i was the walking dead. anemia and sleep deprivation don't go together well, but i managed and was resurrected in the late afternoon by a pitcher of margaritas and a big bloody steak.

most people on this site seem to be vegetarian. i was too, for seven years, vegan for two...but i'm telling you..not only did i fall off the wagon HARD but i am loving it. my thin blood craves it. meat and plums. after dinner we watched argentos 'sleepless' and hit the cardinal, paradise, and orpheum.

sunday seth was sick so we just watched movies...and thus ends my weekend.
