When I moved last October, I was standing overlooking the front yard one day from the front door in Janurary.
I saw this little kitten who was probably about 6 to 9 months hanging out at the bottom of the landing and decided to open the door and pet it.
at first it was afraid of me, but when I walked outside, I let it rub up against me abd then let it sniff my hand. It let me pet it for a few minutes, and then I went back inside.
I sort of flet bad for it as it did not appear to have a collar or anything so it must have been a stray. I had thought about taking it in but knew I would almost neglect it by not being home all the time.
As luck woudl have it, I see it every now and again and you would never thignk it was a stray as it seems like it is well taken care of. I let it sniff my hand, it lets it pet it, then irt rubs up against me and thats about it.
Having not seen it for a while, I thougth well, you know, what you woudl think when you dont see a stray for a few months.
Today it was outsidesaw me from the street going out the front door, walked about the 20 feet or so and sat right in front of me. It then brushed up against my leg as I brought up the garbage can i pet it for a little while and wouldnt you know, it let me take its picture with my camera phone.

Haha! Yep...I grew up with a Puerto Rican mother who said "oy vey" all the time.

Oh my god, I want a pet more than anything...I've never had a cat, how weird is that? Mr. Alyk says they will make my clothes smell bad, so he's vetoing the idea...
