here is a rant i put up on CL earlier today while waiting for the Jets game to start
Every time I go to a restaurant, or even Wendies' where the counter help can barely speak english, if I order a salad and when offered salad dressing, I always get somewhat of an arguement, even in broken english. THe guy can barely use the computer adn tender my money, but can argue about salad dressing
Last few altercations:
1-Ordered delivery from local Domino's Pizza, ordered a Chicken Ceasar Salad, and person on phone asked what dressing I want, i said "none, thankyou" he then asked you said " a ceasar salad and NO dressing, is that correct sir, we have ranch....etc" I replied, yes that is correct no dressing. Seemed very pissed off at my request
2-Was in manhattan and went and got a Chicken BLT salad from Wendies, when asked what dressing I would like, I said " no dressing, thankyou for offering" she then replied, " It is free, are you sure?" I replied, "I know its free, I would only through it out"
3- Local seafood restaurant, same deal as has been described, and the waitress actually almost started to argue with me over it. She said if you wond want blue cheese or ranch , we do have italian and oil and vinegar. I refused yet again
So with these examples, having not been the only times, just the most recent all within the last few weeks, is it a crime to not want salad dressing, adn why do people want to argue with me over it.
If I order a salad which is supposed to be healthy, adn given if I order it with bacon, cheese, etc, how much more stuff would I want on it until the standard mixed greens stop being salad
and on my last point, Wendies ahs a salad served with chilly on it along with a million other condiments..........how can that be a salad
People must think, oh if i order a salad and put a bunch of high fat crap on it , the good outways the bad...haaaaaaaaaaaa NO!!
When given the dressing packets, should I just shut my mouth, and through them out......NO it is wrong to waste stuff like that
nad isnt it more work to dispense dressing either in a restaurant or getting a packet from the refridgerator.
so.......
I DO NOT WANT ANY DRESSING ON MY SALAD, AND WHEN I SAY NO, DONT ARGUE WITH ME!!
SHOULD ANY OF YOU BE A WAITER/WAITRESS, AND SOMEONE ORDERS A SALAD AND SAYS "NO DRESSING" DONT ARGUE, OR YOU MAY GET NO TIP, EVEN IF THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT
and they lost, oh well...good thing I am a Pats fan
