I don't feel good. Nyquil is so great.

I got an apartment today! I'm so glad, too - when I looked at it yesterday, it felt perfect. I can't wait to get out of Mira Mesa and away from the evil that is overbearing wanna-be mothers.

Nappy nap time.

Actually I despise the gaslamp, if that's the downtown you're talking about. Way too trendy and yuppie for me. I'm more of a dive bar guy myself, reminds me of home.

Are you a member of SGSD already? They're trying to plan a big member dinner coming up, meaning for all members of SGSD not people with big members. wink
sweetbean:
nyquil kicks ass. hope you feel better.

thanks, glad you liked my pics. blush kiss

It's funny to me that you can go for so long without eating, but if you try to go for equally as long without sleep, the effects seem to be immediately much worse. Could a person die if theywent without sleep?

Anyways, sleep right now is so inconvenient, but I'm so tired. I'm staying awake right now to show my body who's boss.

After far...

Actually... I won't be working Sunday, I have the day, Thank God! I really needed a break. Yeah, let me know if you are interested in that place.
redneck70:
I'm so stoked on this day off. I haven't had one in three weeks.

The place is on Nautilus St. and is $550 a month, I think. My friend from back home is moving down here and she needs a roomate or at least she did five days ago. I can call her if you want.

What coffee shop do you work at?

So.. it turns out this Chile is not going to be happening within the next year. I'm a little bummed, but I can't deny that I am relieved in many ways, too.

Another excuse to try a new beer anyway.

Going to look at studio apartments tomorrow, so that's exciting. I was thinking about picking up another job for the rest of the summer, but...

Just reading your profile and I have seen four of your favorite bands live.

Hey did you get work done at Guru or do you just like Atom's artwork?
redneck70:
I really like being overworked, it reminds me that I'm alive. I figure I won't be able to work like this forever, so I'll do it while I can.

A beer sounds wonderful, but only if I get to buy you two!

Garden State was great!!! Every time I think about it, it gets better and better. I suggest you see it ASAP. Are you a big movie buff?

So Friday I have an interview with a professor to try to prove that I'm literate enough in Spanish speaking to make it in Chile for 6 months - and I am beyond nervous. El espanol is a little rusty, to say the least.

I wish I had money to get tattooed! I really want it now.

I did get some more fabric today.. that's...

Oh you may, you may indeed! I'm glad you're in the right camp, Chevy's will give you a nasty rash. wink

Where are you living now, if not Solana Beach? Where did you and your girlies end up going? Where, oh where, oh where... That's a lot of "wheres" isn't it?
nattytattat:
Hi! I'm a friend of gord462's and came across your journal. I also need to brush up on my Spanish for an internship I will be starting next month. If you ever need someone to practice with, let me know! I may try to organize something with some of the native speakers I work with. smile

Yay - today is actually my Saturday.. so I'm staying up late.

Wow - roommates can be -so- gd annoying sometimes... especially when they are 30+ and dying to have kids, so they treat all 20 somethings in the house as if they were her children. It makes me want to do that internal growl cats do when they see other cats they don't like....

Yeah fuck the bank!

I work friday/sat 6-midnight and sun 3-10. Stop on by anytime, my skills are back and I'm in full fledged coffee slangin' mode! What shop do you work at. I might be moving to Solana Beach soon.

Is Zack the tall guy in the crush section?

What kind o' muszak do you groove in this band of yours?
redneck70:
Don't know where the place is yet, but I'm checking it out Weds, I think. It's a "craig's listing" and the ad says it is on an acre of land with an ocean view. Hopefully it works out.
My current situation is up after this month.

What did you decide about Seattle?

I don't lay out very often, but yesterday was FINALLY beautiful, so I spent the hours before work outside on the lawn reading Good Omens. It was nice and peaceful.

I ended up with a crazy looking burn on my ass, but nothing serious.

Grant and I went ot karaoke last night.. he knows a lot of obscure bands, so he did a song I...

So who is your crush? Lucinda? She is so hot!

Ohhhhh he's on this site! I see.....well then, dont say a word. I am sure if you told him tho, he'd race down to SD in no time. Yeah....he would.

I opened today and then took a nap when I got home, so now I can't sleep.

I wish I knew how to do henna - I would draw all over myself every day.

I wish my new Gaiman book would get here.

My VCR broke tonight! That's what I get for resisting DVD players, I guess.

Zero7 got their name from a night club...

It seems like we have very similar aspirations in life, except I wouldn't mind the 2.5 kids. In fact, 3 seems like a more rounded number. Half a kid would be messy. I'd like to practice rural family medicine once all my schooling is done. You mentioned Seattle flights being cheap, are you going up there soon? What's in WA?
redneck70:
Seattle is a rad town. My Gramps lives up there and I've always loved visiting. I haven't been up there to party though, I'd imagine it's a lot of fun. You should find out who's in charge of the Seattle SG group and ask them to point you to some cool places or introduce you to some like minded folk while you're up there.

I might practice back in the Oroville area, but there's a whole world out there that I haven't seen yet and I'm sure there are a lot of places nicer than Oroville!

Where are you guys going camping?

My mom and sister left this morning. Even while they were here there was a definite distance between the three of us that was never as prominent before. Sometimes I wonder how things might have been if our lives had been... less eventful, let's say.

I've been taking an informal survey of what people think makes for an exciting life. My sister voted for new...

Sure, but I miss the trees and seasons. I've been here on and off for about three years now. I just graduated from Cal Poly, SLO last December and moved here to work. I got into UCSD for grad school and I'll be in town for at least another year. What are you studying and where?
redneck70:
I'm doing biochemical research work for a pharmaceutical company in Carlsbad and starting at UCSD this Fall. I'll be studying Leadership of Healthcare Organizations. Basically it's a MBA for doctors. I'm applying to medical school for the 2005 year. It looks like I may be getting a second job at a coffee house in La Jolla too. What do you want to at the UN?

Eileen the lioness is leaving for NY today - it makes me sad, even though we didn't get to spend much time together. She was so beautiful in so many ways, and there was so much about her I wanted to learn.

I figured out what my next tattoo is going to be, now I have to wait for the money to accrue. Or maybe...

Which sticks in Northern, CA? I'm from up there too. My hometown had ~1,200 people, what about yours?
redneck70:
I know exactly where Red Bluff is, we used to play you guys in football. I went to school in Oroville! I just moved to San Diego and felt that I could meet a few people this way or at least find out about some good shows. What brought you to SD?

Lately, I've been turning on the fan at night just to fall asleep to the sound. it's sort of like listening to the inside of a seashell.

The nights have been so cool.

So I finally made a profile on SG after months of voyuerism. I had my girlfriend check it out once and she said it was cool, but she didn't get it. Which...

I turn my fan on at night too. Mostly for the white noise to drown out how loud my neighborhood is.

I see you like Tarot, I'm trying to design a tat with the hanged man on it. I feel quite an attachment to that little guy.
gord462:
I wouldn't say I practice it, more like interested. I have a deck, but I just stare at the cards. The thing I most relate to about the hanged man is the ability to look at things from other perspectives. What kinda deck do you have?

So are you still claiming Nor Cal or are you a So Cal girl now?
