Dawn is definitely my favorite time of day. It's so beautiful, no matter where you are.
In Modesto, the armpit of the world, the pine boughs stand out in sprays against the white mist of the fog, and Christmas lights smudge in the cloudy background.
I've been up for two hours and have had the entire morning to myself. The cat and I snuggled. I miss having a cat.
Whitney has a baby dwarf bunny (do baby bunnies have special names? i.e., fawn is a baby deer) and it is the most adorable, cuddly thing I've ever seen. She's already trained it to come and stay.. who knew. I used to hate rabbits because the only memories I have of rabbits as pets are their big back legs scratching the shit out of my little girl arms, chest, tummy, etc.
Anyways.. it makes me want a dwarf bunny badly. If I can't have a cat, a little bunny would seem like the next best thing.
Speaking of dwarves, my sister was watching the jackass movie last night and there was a part where one of the little guys kicked himself in the head.. like a Rockette kick. It was probably THE funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I know that's very redneck of me.. I think Blind Date is also one of the funniest shows on cable.. tied with Most Extreme Elimination or whatever...
Anyways.. drink lots of wine tonight.. I know I will be.
