Woohoo.. I bet you're all happy to read something here other than my cheesy musings. Too bad I don't really have anything better to say this morning.
-----
I think it unfortunate that M.C. Escher wasn't as well known for his philosophy as he was for his incredible art. Escher qoute of the day:

"Anyone who plunges into infinity, in both time and space, further and further without stopping, needs fixed points, mileposts, for otherwise his movement is indistinguishable from standing still."
-----
I am having a really unhealthy breakfast of milano cookies and coffee... but what's better than dipping shortbread into coffee... nothing. So it's a better breakfast... and better is good for me.
-----
Does anyone read this know where they're going and what they're doing in life? Growing up, I felt like everyone had a direction... but now I feel like everyone I meet is just moving. I think it's a pretty common consensus amongst us 20-ishers.
-----
I used to hate fall... now I love it. Does that mean I'm growing up.. or growing old? I want to be back home to watch the leaves turn and wear jackets, and to go to open gym.
-----
I've been getting Thursdays off pretty consistently now.. I think I'm going to start dancing again. Yeow..
-----
Have you been reading these dating profile things? They're so cute and unexpected. I can't believe how many people are filling them out too.
-----
I bought some markers for the wall mural, but they're Sharpies and it occurred to me that I should buy washable ones instead.. so I've been writing on myself with the permanent ones.. and I really like my work. It makes me want the new tattoo even worse. Jess and I are going to go together to talk to the guys and see what's up. She wants to get something big & beauooootiful on her badass arm... mine's going to be on my ribs and back. Then we're going to go "Dude!" "Sweet!"
-----
I want to meet some new strangers.
-----
Just as pet owners tend to look like their animals, I think that the types of houseplants a person has are very indicative of their personalities. My lil guys tend to be leggy and fun to touch... anyone who collects orchids, though, must either be a glutton for punishment, or just totally ocd, imho.
-----
Joe and I have been talking about starting an "emotional massage" business, where a person goes into a room that smells like baking bread, is lit with candles, has whatever kind of music they like on, beverage service and a cat or something soft to stroke and cuddle. Then they can just sit and talk or scream or cry or be vewy vewy quiet while the emotional massuese emits appropriate responses using their expert intuition.. and plays with their hair. yeah...
-----
A regular customer told me the other day that people gain a pound a year unless they really keep up with their exercise. That's not really something to look forward to.
-----
I want a cat. It would be different if my neighbors cats were friendly, because then I could just live vicariously through her cats.. but they're little hermit cats. They need to snag some shells and curl up into them. Speaking of, have you ever seen a hermit crab change shells? It looks really wierd. They have this little muscular tail.... it reminds me of a Tales from the Crypt episode from way back.
-----
I like to be scared, but I hate that I'm such a squealer. Luckily, Jess is too.
-----
Do ya'll have halloween costumes picked out yet? I know that I'm not going to be a nurse, a french maid, the bride of frankenstein (because, really, she was kinda lame), or anything super sexified. I want to be able to do cartwheels in my halloween costume without things popping out.
-----
I can't wait to see what happens to me and my friends.
-----
My sister and my aunt both got themselves into car wrecks this week. What a dragola.
-----
One of the guys in my complex said that my apartment had been vacant for a long time before I moved in. Lately, I could swear that something has been in my place while I'm here... especially the other night and this morning. So I'm thinking.. maybe it has a history. It'd be cool to have a resident ghost.
-----
Zack says that ghosts are atheists that die and suddenly realize that heaven and hell await them, and they don't want to go to either or, so they just hang out in the world some more until they no longer have a choice in the matter. I'm not an atheist, but I hate the ideas of heaven and hell. I'd rather be recycled than in a land of fluff. Imagine how great it would be to be a bee or one of those big spiders that spin the giant webs.

You like it and you know it.

How interesting, I was just talking with an artist friend a couple days ago about Escher and his philosophical side. The art and philosophy really go hand in hand. If one can open up otherwise hidden dimensions on paper like Escher did, then simultaneously one opens up the hidden dimensions of the mind, and that can lead to a lot of new philosophical ideas.

The earth is the ultimate transmuter of negative energies, and will transmute all negative energies if one relaxes and lets those energies drop off. Many people however
choose to be tense and to hold onto their negativity for their own reasons.

He was the Bond right after Sean Connory. For only one film...On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Diana Rigg (of the Advengers) was his wife in the film. Yes Bond with a wife. Check it out.
