My mom and sister left this morning. Even while they were here there was a definite distance between the three of us that was never as prominent before. Sometimes I wonder how things might have been if our lives had been... less eventful, let's say.
I've been taking an informal survey of what people think makes for an exciting life. My sister voted for new experiences, Andrea voted for taking risks, Joe said it was all about random sexual encounters as long as it means getting dressed up and making a night of it every time. When I think excitement, I think of getting in the car and driving far far away.
Too bad I have to open tomorrow.

Sure, but I miss the trees and seasons. I've been here on and off for about three years now. I just graduated from Cal Poly, SLO last December and moved here to work. I got into UCSD for grad school and I'll be in town for at least another year. What are you studying and where?

I'm doing biochemical research work for a pharmaceutical company in Carlsbad and starting at UCSD this Fall. I'll be studying Leadership of Healthcare Organizations. Basically it's a MBA for doctors. I'm applying to medical school for the 2005 year. It looks like I may be getting a second job at a coffee house in La Jolla too. What do you want to at the UN?
