Hmmm, had a pretty eventful day today. I got a reply to my application form, filled out the questionaire... The questionaire part makes me a little nervous - perhaps I am not 'alternative' enough.
If 'strange' was an essential SG quality I'd have no trouble there!
Went to the local petstore today (and by 'local' I mean about a two mile walk....) to see Ragdoll kittens. They are so damn cute - I want one! But, as my flatmates constantly point out, if I got every cat I ever wanted, well, I'd own all of the cats in the world and be even more of a crazy cat lady than I already am....
I bought way too much at an auction today. Three paintings, two wooden cabinets and a beautiful ornate gold mirror. Unfortunately the lounge suite I had my eye on sold for $800 - and most certainly not $800 of mine!
I'm such an old fogey - shopping for lounge suites and pets. Next thing you know I'll be watching Antiques Roadshow and talking to my cat as though she were human. Oh wait, I already do.....

Yeah, I talk to her and she tilts her head and looks at me like she gets what I'm saying, but really all she's hearing is "blah blah blah poop?"

I have precisely the same problem, i.e. I too have no partner to attend Classical Music performances with. (Hmm i should make it a little project for myself to find a 'high culture partner in crime' - yes i like the sound of that)
The last time i did go, though, was brilliant. It was Orff's Carmina Burana.
It was awesome the symphony were on RAW POWER mode. Ha ha.
