...as soon as I got off work I hit the road to go to San Jose and be with my family for Thanksgiving... traffic so sucked. It took me 3 hours to get out of LA. I didn't get there until 12:45am. I was so exhausted... and hungry. I went looking through my parent's fridge to find something but was affraid to eat anything because I didn't know what was for the next day and was was not. So I found a beer... not much of a substitute but it did the trick until morning.

...there was sooooo much good food. I ate WAY too much. Everyone... well, everyone but me, made something. I was exempt because they all still live in San Jose and I had to drive forever to get there. But I helped cook the turkey. My sister-in-law did the most awesome thing... she made a cake that looked EXACTLY like a cooked turkey.

She even made it have dark cake where the dark meat would be and white cake where the white meat would be. It was awesome. And I got some new additions for my computer... my brother gave me some parts from computers they were going to throw out at his work. So now I have a 160 gig hard drive to install and a DVD burner.

I had a pretty easy drive back home. It only took me 6 hours to make the trip back. On the way a friend talked me into going to Underground. Although I only agreed if he'd drive there... I was more than willing to drive back but I just needed a break. So I got home, rushed around getting cleaned up while chatting online and got out the door... forgetting to eat anything. Oh well, it was nothing to be worried about... a friend brought cupcakes that night. It was a good night for being after a holliday... it's usually pretty dead.

I do have to say, one of my friends really made my night. He came up to me and said, "You know, you're one of the few sincere people here in LA. I'm glad you're my friend." This is something I pride myself on. I may not say much, but I mean EVERYTHING I say. What you see is what you get. There never is an angle I'm trying to work. It's great to hear it doesn't go unnoticed.

I had to get up early to work a hockey game... the main reason why I didn't stay in San Jose the whole weekend. It was hard to function, but the good game kept me awake. Oh and incase you were wondering, yes the team won. After that is was a relaxing night at home watching tv and hanging out online.

I got some good sleep in. After I woke up I went for my new routine of a 3 mile run. I got back and got cleaned up and have been online since chatting with all kinds of friends who happened to be online that I haven't spoken to in a while. I really should get dressed now... or maybe not since it's so late now.

Not really looking forward to going back to work... but also, I have another hockey game to work after the day job. It's going to be a busy week.
