Ok... all I can say is GRRRRR!!!
So yesterday one person called in sick and the boss went home sick after about an hour... basically enough time to give me instructions on what she was working on and hinting at wanting me to take over on her projects. Now none of this shit is my job... I was never really trained how to do this crap. I've only picked up a few things here and there over the years I've worked there. So not only did I complete a couple of her projects, I did another one that would have been hers from start to finish that came in later that day, AND still manage to do a few of my own things. Needless to say, I was exhausted and I still had to go work a hockey game that night.
The team lost as usual, but they couldn't do it in regulation time... they just had to stretch it out through overtime and a shoot out. Now, it's not because they played well... they just got lucky. Then the drive home took forever. It seems like any route I could come up with to get home was closed for construction. Not that any actual construction was being done. Some had construction vehicles and others just had cones up with absolutely NOTHING or NO ONE there. What normally takes me 20-30 minutes to get home took an hour. Then parking at home was insane... it took me half and hour to find a spot and only because I was lucky enough to catch someone leaving. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper by the time I got home.
Then today at work, my boss decided to make it a "since I was out sick yesterday, let's pick fights over stupid shit today" day. And to top it all off, all I heard about is what I did wrong yesterday... fine, next time, we'll see what actually gets done when the boss is out of the office. Just because I didn't do it how she would, doesn't mean it was wrong because I still got the same results she would have gotten. I'm thinking about getting a sub job for tomorrow just to not have to go into the office.
