I'm not mad at J anymore, I just wish he would come to his senses and leave Target to come to this new job with me. I think it's going to be a really great place to work. Better hours, better pay... He doesn't want to go b/c they hire thru a temp-service, But they aren't temp positions. He thinks they'll lay us off after summer. Pffft!
Anyways, I have an interview Monday morning at 9.
I was supposed to go to an interview with Race Trac today. But I called the guy and told him I was leaving town on an emergency... just so I don't lose the opportunity if I need it. He's really a nice man and I think he was really excited to hire me. I just don't know about working in a gas station. I always thought of myself doing something better than that. Better than all of this. I just always pictured myself doing something that I enjoy. Not slaving away for a bunch of assholes that make my soul bleed on a daily basis. Busting my ass for $8 measley dollars an hour and being treated like a pack-mule in the process is NOT my idea of a job. As opposed to this job I'm interviewing for on Monday... $9.50/hr. to answer phones, send e-mails/faxes, take notes, file shit, and maybe call a few people. Guaranteed 40 hrs. 10 hr shifts Mon-Thurs...3 days off (Fri. Sat and Sun.) Wooo! And I get a raise after 90 days and again after 6 mos or a year...sounds like a much more likeable job than lifting 50+ lb boxes all night and having your boss spy on you like it's an episode of Cheaters when you've done nothing wrong.... NEVER work for Target. In fact, sell your soul to the devil if it will keep you from having to.
