Serenity was AMAZING! Tori was OK.
Serenity was brilliant because it wasn't a movie based on a tv show, it was a movie that just happened to have characters from a tv show. There's a point, and without giving anything away - it's the "I'm a leaf on the wind" moment, where you are honestly scared. At least if you've watched the show. At that point you start to realize there are no rules here and it becomes truly frightening.

As far as Tori goes, I went right after the preview and caught the last 15 minutes of the Ditty Bops and they were a lot of fun. Tori started fine but got very ephemeral, even for her, and it sort of bogged down for me. She played "Silent All These Years" which is the one song I need hear but when she did there was a group of girls who must have been dance students, cuz they did this cool modern dance/ballet thing and continued for the next hour or so. It was really beautiful and made the concert more fun. Tori played for a little more than 2 hours, so it was well worth the $10 for lawn seats. Just Tori this time. No band. her and 4 (piano/organ/eletric piano/something-an upright, so no harpsichord) keyboard setup.
