One Jimmy (Helen) Disagrees
Five minutes in to the first episode I knew I would not be a constant companion to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Granted, I dont watch, Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Conan or Ferguson - at least not with any regularity. Still Jimmy Fallon came across as nervous during his monologue and had horrible flop sweat during his interview with DeNiro. Albert Brooks Broadcast News flop sweat. Day twos Tina Fey interview was an improvement but he had so much to talk about with Tina he could have taken the whole show and it would have worked out better. Instead he came across as rushed and even a little nervous with her. The low point was the monologue about the cat-in-a-bong where Attack of the Show had a better punch line - from the day before! (And Alison Haislip looked far more at ease.) Hopefully hes got the summer to work out his bugs and good luck to him, hes gonna need it.
