You Wouldn't Have a Chance and Neither Do I.

Mother fucking Steven Moffat. Totally has my number. Made me cry like a bitch with big snorting sobs and everything else. I guess everything else is tears. Still, I hate him.

So the 2-part Library for Doctor Who was good. Really good. I didn't fall in love with River, much like I didn't fall in love with Captain Jack (apparently I'm one of the few) but I still fell in love with the story. Blink and Girl in the Fireplace won me over with strong heroines despite weaknesses in the storylines (that bulb in the basement is gonna go out,) but little bits in Library, like the dumb girl thing and even Donna being the one to say "I will find you!" to her fella, just totally got to me much less the big parts. Maybe his name is a killing word. Despite what I call cheap tricks (he does all the Richard Curtis romantic comedy cheats) Steven has an incredible grasp of pacing, character and tension, romantic or otherwise and brings it all together perfectly. Like I said, I hate him.

Missed the Printer's Row Book Fair. Made it the last 3 years but didn't know until after that it was this weekend. I really didn't have the money for it anyway. Kerry plus D&D 4th was a moderate chunka change and I have an Absolute Sandman coming up plus some other big items. So buying a bunch of books from unknown writers that I will never read (I haven't cracked open any of last year's buys) is not really on the table. Still, it's nice to see the enthusiasm and passion of unknown writers doing what they love. And there's always next year.

That's an horrible phrase. I think I'm caught in the rut of "I'll do it tomorrow," with there always being a tomorrow to push "it" off until. I need to fix that.

D&D 4th is drastically different. Bigger than the jump between 1st and 2nd editions. Still trying to digest everything.
