Birthday.

As mentioned last year this is QE2's b'day (along with others like Andie MacDowell and Iggy Popp) as well as my own. Today apparently was Earth Day and the day after pot day. So did I do nothing as I planned? Sorta.

I started the day with typical morning rituals (the less said about some, the better.) Did some dish washing, and headed into chicago around 10:30. My destination: Chinatown. Bought some BBQ pork ($13) and a bubble tea ($4) then headed to the condo to park and wander the city and do "birdwatching" as Fallon describes it.

I made my way to the comic store where I bought several trades ($40 - though they comped me a Wasteland for my bday). On my way there I started taking pictures and realized I removed my SD card and hadn't replaced it! Had to delete all the music from my mp3 player but hey, I can always reload the music on that. Made my way to Dick Blicks where I bough a few Copic markers and some pastels ($23). Then I wandered for the next few hours. Made my way up to Virgin Megastore and Water Tower but I didn't buy anything. Looked at the Macs at the Apple store - I'm thinking about getting a new computer and honestly considering a mac. Bought a slurpee ($2) with a spidey cup i don't have. Got to the condo around 2:30 and took a break. Left around 3:30 and headed to Schaumburg.

I decided I would hit Mitsuwa, JP Gift and the Dick Blicks there. The biggest suprise was JPGift is GONE! There's now a Curves there! Blicks had the 9X12 ecru sketch books that I've been hunting for so I bought 3 along with some other stuff ($80 - yes eighty). At mitsuwa I bought sushi (8 unagi), pot stickers, green tea and some candy - but no grape mints. I bought a whole case a month back and still have quite a few of them left. ($20) Went home so my sushi wouldn't spoil.

I had every intention to go grocery shopping but in addition to going to target but I ended up watching Star Trek: Nemesis then went to Target. Bought a new garbage can, fan, and bunches of little things. ($80 - yes eighty again; those little things add up.)

I ended up editing down tv from the last few days and burning it to dvd. Recorded SNL w/Scarlett and Bjork and as I started to edit it at midnight my back decided to spasm (and not in the good way). I guess I'm getting old. It's almost 1:30 as I type this up and I'm listening to Dance Factory (Bobby D! my fave DJ! even over Fatboy). Gonna goto bed soon.

That was my birthday. Not really nothing but a LOT of me time.
