So my friend Pat had his birthday thursday and is having 3 days of celebration! (That's him up there, Mantek, my one friend.) Saturday is the official one to celebrate but I'm not going to that.
I decided to go and surprise him on wednesday where festivities were held at Lago and Green Door. In addition to Pat, there was Streets, Fallon, Ryan, other Pat, and the Lago bar/wait staffers Jaimie and Maryann(?). Their friend Riley joined us at Green Door, where I literally hit an alchohol wall while drinking. Normally my alchohol walls are like "if you keep drinking, you'll be SO sorry" and I usually ignore and suffer later. But this one was different. "Drink that and you'll puke," it told me. "Not later. Now. And you won't be able to make it to the bathroom. You'll puke here." AND SO I STOPPED DRINKING. I sorta sobered up and the next day no ill effects. Which is more than I can say for everyone else. Next night Pat went to see Joe Jackson and then celebrated at Neo where people (Luke and Balutan) were surprised that I didn't make it.
I also got the new Dresden Dolls CD, Yes Virginia, finished reading Map of Bones and took a lot of photographs.

I really like how this one turned out, no digital trickery here. The foreground just stayed in focus.
There's a lot of luck in taking pictures. At least with a cheap digital camera.
