Rumric bows as he slips the letter into his vest. Ah, you see, Ranoux, he whispers as the three companions head for the family Apothecary. A mission!

A letter, Ranoux observes.

An intrigue!

A delivery. Ranoux makes a great show of disinterest. To the city mortician.

To be delivered in secret! Rumric waggles the sealed letter. Mark my words, this is the start...

I love Stevie Wonder. I mean, I really love him; not like scream and throw my panties on stage love, but more like a give him a hug and just forget to let go kind of love.

I mostly fought in local competions with a Jiu-Jitsu school I didn't go to called All American Jiu-Jitsu (yeah, it was Colorado. Every imported business was "all-American"). I fought for their team because at the time I was a member of a ninjitsu school run by a guy who wouldn't sponsor competetive fighters. The tournaments themselves weren't official or anything, and the term MMA wasn't around yet. They were only addressed by whatever school was sponsoring them. Like "Barry Benedict's 1994 Full Contact Tournament". But that didn't make crushing mother fuckers any less fulfilling.

Stupid Post Office.

I don't even remember what I put in there, now, other than the funky spray painted figure drawing. But whatever all was in there was stuff I did either by hand or computer, including the poster. I have one of those posters hanging up in my office signed by Sean Hannidy and Zell Miller. They were at a book signing and I really wanted Miller's signature, but what the hey... Now I want to get all kinds of politico names on my poster from all over the spectrum.

Go check out SFDeep's journal. Woah. He's got a link to my new hero.

I'll tell you, I'm normally a really easygoing guy, but that fucking Mario drives me up the wall. Did you hear about him and Amber? You can go ask threejane about that whole fiasco, I've got a different story for you:

The other day, I saw Mario pitching kittens...

Hey, hope you feel better man. Maybe you need a Hot Toddy from our friend at the creperie.

Pukey no goody.

As for the songs, most of them are actually upbeat, party-ish songs. The end is a pretty severe comedown though. I wasn't so much going for a party mix or chill mix as I was just trying to include a decent variety of nice music that can be listened to in neutral moods smile

Here's the thing with Mario. The guy is a fucking sociopath. And I don't mean the axe-murdering kind, just that he has no capability (that I've ever seen) for any kind of empathy.

that's funny you found some nutjobs on the kung fu tip. i researched some on-line and some of the people were laughable. i actually took a year of shuai-chiao kung fu before their SF school closed and a friend was already a student at Doc-Fai Wong's and invited me to check it out. it worked out, i'm very happy with the school -- very traditional training that emphasizes fundamentals, flow and connection.

i checked your tracks online. when i first started spinning, i was into d'n'b, did you use an LTJ Bukem track backing the live music? i hear another break from a J. Majik track off an old metalheadz comp. i don't have anything online. i've only been producing for about a year now. hopefully, one track will be pressed in the next couple of months. i work mainly with Reason and i'm in the process of learning ableton live.

is that all your art under your pics? i really dig it.
threejane:
did you hear what he did to Amber? that fucking guy

You know what really gets me about Mario? Its not the shit he does, its the smug look on his face while hes doing it.

Excellent. Maybe we could do lunch, Amoeba, and/or pool in Berkeley? Or something.
uncommoncold:
Well, in the dream a friend called me to tell me that she was one of the children I had abducted, and I felt terrible. Like, fall-to-my-knees-and-throw-up terrible. Not a good scene. Have you ever felt so guilty that you've vomited?

.. No, me neither. But the "I" that exists in dreams sure as hell has.

Fucking Mario.

Yeah, it's just as important to know when to stop as it is what to draw. And almost as important as when to know to just stop drawing and burn the damn thing.

you can check out more about choy li fut at plumblossom.net. the website explains the details better than i can. it's a pretty complex system that uses the same principles of tai chi, i.e. proper form and relaxed power to channel energy through the body.

i listen to all sorts of music but i spin mainly tech-house and breaks. i've been throwing warehouse parties in the city for the past 4 years, but chilling out lately just to produce.

nice to meet you!
