Dear Diary,

Prom was fantastic. The dance had actual jazz musicians, just like from before my parents started going to Narcotics Anonymous! I really enjoyed them, because unlike the guys who play on television they could stay in the pocket.




Boy, Ill tell you! We sure danced up a storm! In this photo, you can see Frenchy, Coco, SFDeep, Shawndaddy, Miesha and Aphexplotz. Unnecessary_Z wouldnt dance because he said we were all a bunch of jive squares and that jitterbugging was out of fashion in New York City anyway. I didn't understand his beatnik language but I think he meant that he had a great time.




I promised Miss Sophie Sizzles father that Id have her home no later than eleven, and by gum, thats just what I did. And because I am a very sincere and honorable young man, there was no funny business or hanky panky, either. Mr. Sizzle made it very clear that he would think unfavorably about any ungentlemanly behavior.

We had a long talk before the dance.




He told me that if I wanted him to treat me with respect, I would have to show him that I was worthy of respect. I said, Well, thats just what Ill do sir! And by golly, thats just what I did.
