Sunday I went to a birthday party for Puddin'. Emily Rose Lawing-- she's one year old. Saturday, her big sister (Helene, 4) and I went and picked toys out for her, and Sunday her big sister opened all her presents. What a helpful gal, huh? wink There weren't too many kids present since the 1 year party is really for the parentswe had the girls, their 2 yr. old cousin (who is actually the cutest of them all), and a friend of Helene's from up the street named River.

River is my bud. Her dad and I are homies and we hang out a lot, but I'm sorry to report that he is (like pretty much everyone else with kids) taking his family and leaving the city. He's moving to Fairfax. frown The traitor.

If I could, I would sell my floss jewelry and use my ostentatious wealth to help my friends stay in the city. Helene and Emily's folks are leaving altogether, probably in the Spring or Summer for St. Louis. I know that friends don't let friends live in Missouri, but I can't stop them short of some kind of black ops snatch and grab involving guys with mirrored sunglasses and an unmarked white van.

I guess what I really need is more gay friends.

friends with kids are both weird and great. one of my oldest, closest friends has a young'un who is fantastic. he headbutts his dad all the time- much to both of our(the boy n' me, not his pops) amusement. and he's amazingly intutive with telling people to shut up when they are being annoying. i think last year i got him a really cool hardcover children's book and neglected to pick up anything for his dad. sadly, i never get invited to birthday partiest cos the little man's mom doesn't care much for me.

as for the magazine, a friend's fiance is setting it up and i agreed to pool talent with her since i'm starting my website and she's starting a magazine, so i agreed to write her something. knowing the crew she's put together pretty well, i'm sure she'll have a couple of necrophilia stories in there. i think i'm piecing something together about rape and murder and private school.

I didn't go to a doctor. There isn't anything they could do for me (unless I had a bad allergic reaction). I just waited it out. I was loopy and a little dizzy for 2 days. Not too bad and very entertaining for my friends
