Earlier this night I came across this:

I liked this very much, therefore I grabbed my paint and a canvas and a reference photo:

I know that this is far from being anything like good. But I like it. The detail in this is about as far as I go when painting. If I wanted loads of detail, I would take a photograph.

I forgot how amazing that calmness is when painting, that utter control and deep moments of being oneself. I think I am definitely going to start painting some more. And most probably birds. A nice Blue Tit next I think.
