today was meltymeltymelty.

after work, i ate some ice cream and stopped at the legislature grounds and splashed in the fountain with 7 year olds and then read a book in the shade. it was a stereotypically picturesque summer afternoon, and i was completely unaffected.

to elaborate: i feel as though i should have felt all relaxed and langourous and... i don't know. but i...

Weekends are best spent on useless activities any way. They preserve ones remaining sanity.
And no one likes a crazy Cirdt.

my thought process for the evening, while browsing the video gallery:

"hmm. it's a thursday night. i have nothing to do. clearly, i should rent "the notebook" and spend the better half of an hour weeping uncontrollably at schmaltzy love stories involving senile dementia."

it's cathartic ok?

rin:
when i first saw it, i was about to cry but the boy i saw it with whispered something about elephant graveyards to me and we exited the theatre laughing.

so, new in the world of cirdt-

my grandfather came down to visit for fathers day, so i've been at the parental unit's house all weekend.

it's.... very strange, my nana died last year, so he's on his own now, and he manages all by himself in their house, and bikes around town, so we know he's still able to function but... it's like he's...

today i went out and sat on a picnic bench outside my apartment in the near-torrential rain. i live on in residence on a university campus, and the street in front of my building is pedestrian and bicycle access only. i sat and smiled at the people scurrying by with their umbrellas. some even smiled back.

not dead yet.

the kitten and i are on a journey of discovery called "my feet are not chew toys" and also another one entitled "good kittens do not step on the keyboard when i am trying to type."

i have had crazily vivid, almost lucid dreams the past few nights. i don't like it. i wake up, and feel like i haven't done any...

Damn, if it had been the youngest hanson-brother it would have at least been vaguely lesbo-erotic.

Every time I get dragged along to Kareoke they never have songs there that I'd actually sing.

I made a deal with my friend that if the bar has Closer by NIN I'd go up and sing it with him, as the image of two dudes trying to harmonize and sing "I want to fuck you like an animal" in front of their peers would totally be worth whatever embarasement would follow.

Holy shit I can't spell anymore frown
lotus:
haha. Yeah, not much hotter than that really. biggrin
glad you had a fun snowball fight!
